In the past week, the sport of soccer has become a hug lightning rod of controversy. We've all been aware of how crazy the fans can get over the game, especially in england and Latin America. And we can recall from the 2006 World Cup final when Zinedine Zidane gave an Italian midfielder a headbutt to the chest, showing a prime example of even players going too far.

And yesterday night, during a World cup qualifier between France and Ireland, thierry Henry handles the ball two times during the game in extra time. Why is this a problem? Ireland was leading 1-0, and on the second time Henry handled the ball, which was in clear site, even for the refs to see, it caused France to score the tying goal to end the game in a 1-1 tie. Not only that, but because France won 1-0 last time against Ireland, that meant that the French won 2-1 in total goals, allowing them to move on to the World Cup, and eliminating Ireland.

In the post, you can see Henry clearly commiting the act, being quoted as admitting to the handball and having the ref allow it, and the FIFA won't even grant the Irish a rematch to try and set everything right! Are you kidding me!?
